Man Arrested After Knife and Hammer Robbery at Lenton Convenience Store

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a convenience store.

The shopkeeper suffered a number of injuries after a man with a knife and hammer demanded money at Best One convenience store in Derby Road, Lenton, at 11.05pm yesterday (Wednesday 1 May).

She was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment to her injuries, which are not life-threatening or life-altering.

It is not yet known what was taken.

Officers were quickly on the scene and arrested a 26-year-old man, who is currently being questioned on suspicion of robbery.
