Appeal after man is stabbed in Radford

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was stabbed in Radford.

The 21-year-old victim was outside Papa’s Grill in Ilkeston Road, at around 3.15pm on Saturday (16 February 2019), when someone stabbed him in the collarbone area. He also suffered two slash wounds to his arm.

He arrended hospital wheere he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. He has since been discharged.

Our enquiries are ongoing and officers investigating the stabbing are urging any witnesses or any drivers who may have recorded dash cam footage of the incident to get in touch.

We’d also like to hear from anyone who was on a bus which was travelling along Ilkeston Road around the time of the stabbing. Did you see anything?

Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on Sunday (17 February 2018) on suspicion of Section 18 GBH after officers executed a warrant at an address in Bestwood. The boys were subsequently released on conditional bail until 15 March 2019.
